Hey! I'm Ricardo :)

He/Him
Venezuela Born, Texas Raised
Living In Seattle Washington

I'm A Designer that Strives To Create Meaningful Experiences That Bridge People Together.

I’m drawn to projects where there is an opportunity to empower individuals, and provide tools to those who never thought they needed them. I enjoy carving out shape and direction through design and a deep curiosity for how people interact with tools and systems.
Previously at Texas A&M AgriLife.
Troublemaker from University of Washington's Master of Human-Computer Interaction + Design class of '25.
The loudest and proudest Aggie from Texas A&M's class of '24.
For Work:
I recently graduated from University of Washington's studying Human-Computer Interaction + Design master program. I am currently open to UX design roles.
For Fun:
I enjoy finding time to workout, go outdoors, meet friends, and develop my craft outside of UX. I'm a passionate artist and I explore different ways to express myself creatively.

My Core Beliefs

"We Contain Multitudes"
A quote from Walt Whitman. Just like we all have many facets to ourselves, so do users. Focusing on this helps me create flexible, empathetic experiences that adapt to real people and support them through whatever stage of life they might find themselves in.
"El Flojo Trabaja Doble"
"The lazy works twice". Words my father has hammered into me. His words have shaped how I approach design: with care, precision, and an eye for detail. I bother with the small stuff, because that small stuff is what shapes an experience.
Design Should NOT Be Frictionless
We all want to design to make people's lives better, but to have friction in one's life brings opportunity to grow and learn. I strive to design tools that allow people to grow, not to dumb people down.
Honest Feedback Yields the Best Results
It's normal to find ourselves stuck or in a rut. I strive to give constructive and actionable feedback, always expecting the same in return. To me, successful process includes surprises, pivots, and unexpected wins amidst the hard work.
  • I love any excuse to dress up

  • I'm a huge summer advocate: find me swimming, tanning, or eating in the heat

    during those 90° days

  • My huge Venezuelan family and our

traditions inspire me center others before myself

  • I love outdoor activities with friends. Hiking in Seattle has become a must!

  • My heart and soul, Nahla <3

  • Food is culture! I make sure to study up

  • Trained art kid here, check out my playground to see some work!

Made with so much emotional support :)
